Bauchi state is faced with considerable challenges in health care delivery.like many other State in Nigeria, the infrastructure is dilapidated and there is a shortage of health Care workers especially at the primary level of care.

Bauchi state is organizing this summit to identify new opportunities and approaches providing health care delivery in the developing world with a view to revitalize the state health care delivery system.

To determine the current state of the health care delivery system in bauchi state and identify modalities and strategies to overcome the challenges

Identification of key emerging public health challenges and the prioritization of each based on their prevalence and peculiarities to all the twenty's [20]LGAs in the state 

The summit was officially declare opened by the Honorable Minister of health Dr. Osagie E. Ehanire, so many development partners were also present; WHO, UNICEF, DANGOTE FOUNDATION, NCDC, NHIS.
