Lottery Trust Fund, NLTF is said to be strategically placed to key into the policy programme of Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration inorder to impact and improve the economic welfare of the entire citizenry of Nigerians.
This disclosure was made by the Executive Secretary, NLTF, Dr. Bello
Maigari during a one day retreat organized by the
Federal Ministry of Special Duties and
Intergovernmental
Affairs which was held at the National
Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja recently.
Speaking on the role of NLTF in realizing the agenda of the renewed hope programme of the new federal government administration, the Executive Secretary point blankly stated that his agency which is under the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental
Affairs is positioned to ensure that the large segment of the country's populace, who are now facing various difficulties, occasioned by the recent removal of the oil subsidy would certainly be made to benefit from the unveiling and painstaking diligent execution of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present Federal Government administration.
He further maintained that since the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental
Affairs is positioned within the bureaucracy to ensure that they deliver on the initiatives of the federal government, that there is no way the NLTF would be left out from the bargain in participating as a platform to drive some of these key initiatives.
He went on to expound on the areas of the initiatives which the NLTF is currently aiming at reactivating to positively touch the lives of the people to include education, health care delivery and social welfare promotion.
The renowned technocrat and seasoned administrator of no mean standing, who did not mince words in describing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as not only as a veritable visionary leader, technocrat and referred politician, however opined that President Tinubu did well by bringing on board a very strategic development agenda of renewed hope for this nation, which according to him, all agencies within the Ministry would key into at delivering as part of its core statutory mandates.
The Ministry, which in his right words has been at the driver's seat promoting the inter federal, state and local government relationship has achieved a lot tremendously. This whole lot of achievement would be harnessed since the majority of the end beneficiaries of the welfare package are the rural dwellers.
