The Coalition of CSO in the Niger Delta express dissatisfaction and concern over unprecedented impassivenessof the office of the Presidential Amnesty Program
Commend the people-oriented policies and programs of Mr President to boost the country's
economy, We equally applaud Mr. President's meticulousness in the appointment of people to
man the federal government ministries and agencies.
We are here to express our dissatisfaction and concern about the unprecedented impassiveness
of the office of the Presidential Amnesty Program after the recent appointment of its
administrator.
and appeal to the Presidency and the office of the National Security Adviser who are vested
with the powers of overseeing the office of the Presidential Amnesty Program to revisit its
appointment.
The prestigious office of the Presidential Amnesty Program Administrator is too important
considering the significant nature of the Agency. This is to ensure the purpose for which the
Presidential Amnesty Program Agency was created achieved its aim without distracting the
economy and the nation. Therefore persons to hold the aforementioned office should pass the
due dilgence check of the office of the National Security Adviser and Department of State
Security Service, to avoid personalities with forged certificates and other criminal records. As
such people with forged certificates and other criminal elements, if allowed to man such office,
will warrant public criticism, petitions, and litigations.
Again, we insist that the position of the Presidential Amnesty Program Administrator be given to
the y person who has been vetted and scrutinized by the office of the National Security
communitięs are full of educated people.
